Good afternoon.

Scheduled maintenance…

As previously advised, tonight, between approx. 18:00-20:00, our service will undergo scheduled maintenance.  The tasks contained in this maintenance release can be found here: Build 2.3.3, Release Date 17/03/2016. During this minor release there is no requirement to ‘fail over’ to our mirrored data centre, instead we will be updating a separate instance of our service, implemented for just such a purpose.  De-registrations are not expected and services should not be affected although they are deemed to be ‘at risk’.  Thank you.

Migration, Monday 21st March…

Now that you have all confirmed that previously notified changes have been checked/completed, and as our testing has also been completed, we will migrate to our new service on the evening of Monday 21st March.  During this task registrations will be diverted from our current primary datacentre via our ‘fail over’ facility, to one of our ‘new’ datacentres.  Once complete, registrations will be checked and a variety of call tests will be undertaken.  If these tests are all successful, the service will remain on our new datacentre but in the unlikely event that there may be an issue we can and will revert back to our current datacentre.  There will be a short period (of circa. 2-5 minutes) when the diversion takes place (scheduled to take place between approximately 20:00 and 21:00) when trunks may de-register and calls may not be possible.  If you need reminder of our IP addresses, please refer to What Is SIP Trunk Plus' Domain/Realm, IP Address(es)?.

Monthly webinar…

The next monthly webinar is scheduled for 10.30 a.m. on Thursday 24/03.  To join the webinar go to: https://join.me/SIPTrunkPlus (audio via PC headset or dial 03300882634).  This forthcoming webinar will spend some time answering any questions on our new architecture and giving you an advance preview of new development.  Many of you have requested calendar/diary invites/reminders for our monthly webinars and we’re happy to send out details in this way – however, if you’d like to opt out of receiving a calendar invitation then please advise.

An important note: benefit from auto-failover and set your ‘registration timeout’ correctly…

To make best use of our failover functionality please ensure you read this ‘solution’: What Do I Need To Do To Make Best Use Of ST+ Auto-failover?.

Did you know…

…that you can set a variety of notifications for you / your clients, including Setting Up A Portal / Service Notification.

Best regards, the SIP Trunk Plus Team.
